DAS-0009 - RotoFan (motor cooling system)

As racers continue to push motor performance with increased timing, boost and turbo, motor temperatures are becoming an increasingly important limitation.

The DAS SPEED RotoFan was developed as an ultra-compact cooling solution specifically for 1/28 scale RC racing, where space is limited and conventional cooling fans are often impractical.

Mounted directly onto the motor shaft, the RotoFan generates meaningful airflow without the need for a separate powered fan. In comparative testing, it demonstrated an approximately 10% improvement in cooling performance, helping the motor operate at a lower temperature under demanding conditions.

By improving temperature management, the RotoFan may also give racers a little more freedom when searching for performance potentially allowing a more aggressive setup, such as an extra tooth of gearing or a small increase in boost or turbo, depending on the motor, ESC, track conditions and overall setup.

It is not about adding power directly. It is about helping manage the heat that can limit how much performance you can safely extract from your motor.
